Eye: 46
Bridge: 22
Temple: 145

Frame Color: Chelonian
Lens Color: Nicotine Yellow
Hardware: Sterling Silver

A late 1950’s inspired rectangular silhouette featuring subtle step-cut details on the frame front and temple tips. Custom front pin ornaments with Art-Deco hairline filigree. 5-barrel hinges with a custom spur shaped riveting system. 2-base Nylon lenses with backside anti-reflective coating treatment and 100% UV protection.

A precise personification of the dean of deco himself, L. Murray Dixon; the orchestrator of Ocean Drive’s architecture. A pivotal pioneer for Miami’s frontier, his work is the actualization of antiquated aptitude, bent over a draft table with pencil in hand. The Dixon was drawn with the calculated craftsmanship from where its name derives, with a geometric nature that is nourished through its step-cut details along the outer eye-wire. Its lenses mimic the rectangular view-ports of Art Deco structures, as linear ornaments establish a dimensional design. Dixon is a motif in itself, a true exhibition of style moderne.
Please use the microfiber cloth provided by Tejesta to wipe your lenses to keep them dust, oil, and fingerprint free. Try not to use your shirt or any other potentially abrasive material to clean your lenses as there is a possibility they will scratch. We highly recommend rinsing your glasses in fresh water if you plan on wearing them to the beach, as the salty air can damage your frames. Don't leave them in the direct sunlight (for instance on your car’s dash) as slight warping can occur.

The Inspiration

L. Murray Dixon is credited with inventing the tropical Art Deco style of architecture which became the signature of South Beach, FL.

Lawrence Murray Dixon, 1938

Meticulous Materials

L. Murray Dixon may not have been a visionary on the order of Frank Lloyd Wright or Mies van der Rohe, but he was the most prolific Art-Deco architect of all.
