Boston Outpost

Boston Outpost 250 NEWBURY STREET BOSTON, MA 02116

We’ve landed on Newbury Street.

Our first store in the Northeast—an outpost built for the city and the ones who move through it. Come find our full collection: small-batch spectacles, bandanas, and everything in between.

“Buy the ticket, take the ride.”

The Story

This store is more than a new chapter—it’s the result of a promise made years ago between two people who believed in craftsmanship, creativity, and the power of doing things differently.

Back then, Christos Karabelas, founder of SOMA Optical, was managing a boutique where Tejesta’s founder, Jonathan Oberti, was selling other eyewear brands. Between shared ambitions and long conversations about design and purpose, they made a pact: One day, when each had built something of their own, they would create something together.

That day is now.

In the heart of Boston’s Newbury Street, Tejesta steps into its first brick-and-mortar home. A space that doesn’t just showcase eyewear—it tells a story. A story stitched from trust, built on history, and designed for discovery. The keys to the former SOMA Newbury Street storefront were passed from Christos to Jonathan, not as a transaction, but as a continuation of that long-held promise.

“Opening our first concept store on Newbury Street is more than growth—it’s about sharing the energy and creative spirit of Tejesta with the Boston community.”—Jonathan Oberti, Tejesta's Founder.

Our World, In Full

Every collection we’ve ever released, available to try on. Inside, the space is more than a retail experience—it’s an immersion into the world of Tejesta. Visitors can explore the brand’s full collection of artisanal eyewear, including sunglasses, optical frames, and exclusive limited-edition pieces only available at this Boston location. The team is trained in full Tejesta language—ready to guide you on fit, styling, and how each frame plays off your features, your jewelry, your way of seeing. Beyond the frames, a curated lounge invites guests to slow down.

You might even get early access to what’s next.

Eternal Bliss
Eternal Bliss

“This collaboration with Tejesta felt perfectly aligned for SOMA. We share a creative vision, and it’s an honor to be a part of this chapter. Sometimes when the universe points the way, you follow.”—Christos Karabelas, SOMA Optical's Founder.

Eternal Bliss

We won’t say much—some things are better felt than told. At the center of this space is a commissioned work by Wes Lang. A quiet presence. A symbol for those who know. It’s not just art—it’s part of the fabric that shapes Tejesta. Step inside. You’ll feel it.
