An oval silhouette with added acetate anchors. Custom front pin ornaments with Art-Deco inspired filigree. 5-barrel hinge system, 2-base lenses with backside anti-reflective coating treatment and 100% UV protection.

Known primarily for photographic works that blend eroticism and fine art, Nobuyoshi Araki is one of the most prolific artists working in Japan today. Although it first emerged in Japan in the late Edo period (mid-1800s), bondage wasn’t popularized until the 1950s, when magazines like Kitan Club and Yomikiri Romance started printing naked bondage photographs. This unique Japanese-inspired silhouette accentuates the sensual quality of the body bound by rope.

Please use the microfiber cloth provided by Tejesta to wipe your lenses to keep them dust, oil, and fingerprint free. Try not to use your shirt or any other potentially abrasive material to clean your lenses as there is a possibility they will scratch. We highly recommend rinsing your glasses in fresh water if you plan on wearing them to the beach, as the salty air can damage your frames. Don't leave them in the direct sunlight (for instance on your car’s dash) as slight warping can occur.

The Inspiration

Araki's experimentation with media included collage, film, and more recently, Polaroid instant technology.

Meticulous Materials

"Photography is about a single point of a moment. It's like stopping time. And everything gets condensed in that forced instant. But if you keep creating these points, they form lines which reflect your life."
